Gas and Heating Policy Review

At Settle, our priority is to ensure that residents are safe in the homes, communal blocks and other properties that we own and manage.

Thank you for the feedback we received on our Gas and Heating Policy! We're pleased to share that we received a total of 20 comments from 9 survey responses. Your contributions are essential to improving this policy, and we're currently reviewing your suggestions.

📢 Here's what we heard:

  • 74% of residents thought the language in the policy was clear
  • 80% of residents thought the policy was easy to understand.

There were three core themes raised by residents around our Gas and Heating Policy:

  1. Residents would value a clearer explanation of the technical terms and acronyms
  2. Residents would like to policy to be more accessible to read
  3. Residents would appreciate more flexibility from Settle when scheduling gas safety checks.

We're now reviewing all feedback and revising the policy based on your input. We will publish the updated version reflecting your thoughts soon.

We want to make sure this policy truly reflects residents' priorities.

We are responsible for maintaining heating systems to ensure that all heating appliances provided for residents are safe. These include oil, solid fuel, and electrical heating systems.

The Gas Safety Regulations 1998 deal with the installation, maintenance and use of gas appliances, fittings and flues in domestic properties to ensure they remain safe.

To make sure the policy promotes safety, transparency, empathy and consistency, we'd love to hear from you!
