Thank you for the feedback we received on our Lift Safety Policy! We're pleased to share that we received a total of 168 comments from 28 survey responses. Your contributions are essential, and we're currently reviewing your suggestions.
📢 Here's what we heard:
- 83% of residents thought the language in the policy was clear
- 78% of residents thought the policy was easy to understand.
There were three core themes raised by residents around our Lift Safety Policy:
- Residents would value a clearer explanation of the technical terms and acronyms, and suggested using a diagram to make them easier to understand
- Residents would like regular updates on lift inspections and repairs, and suggested adding signage inside lifts
- Residents would appreciate improved communication about maintenance issues, including an estimated date for when the lift will be operational again.
We're now reviewing all feedback and revising the policy based on your input. We will publish the updated version, reflecting your thoughts soon.

We are responsible for maintaining domestic lifts, passenger lifts, and other lifting equipment, as well as conducting periodic, thorough examinations to ensure they continue to operate safely.
We own and manage domestic properties which have been adapted with living aids such as stair lifts, through floor lifts and hoists to enable residents to continue to live independently. We take responsibility for the lifts which have been installed within our domestic properties which we have been made aware of.
To make sure the policy promotes safety, transparency, and consistency, we'd love to hear from you!
