Eviction Policy Review

At SettleParadigm, we work closely with residents from the start of their tenancy to understand their circumstances and the support that they may need to manage their tenancy successfully.

At the same time, we have a responsibility to take effective and timely action when a resident breaches their agreement. This includes situations where a resident’s actions may impact others in the neighbourhood or where they have not complied with the terms of their tenancy, licence or lease agreement.

We treat eviction as a last resort and will work with residents to prevent it wherever possible. In situations where all reasonable options have been exhausted, we will pursue legal action.

To make sure the policy is clear and promotes fairness and consistency, we'd love to hear from you.

Your views will help shape how we continue to support residents and meet our responsibilities, and should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.

Equality Impact Assessment

We've carried out an Equality Impact Assessment to help us identify any areas where this policy might unintentionally disadvantage certain groups.

🔎 Outcome of the assessment

  • We did not identify any areas where the policy or the way it is delivered could directly or indirectly discriminate against residents, colleagues or Board members
  • The policy is not expected to positively advance equality, as eviction is only used in cases where there has been a breach of tenancy.
