Pest control policy survey

We aim to ensure that our homes and properties are free from pest and vermin infestations. Pests and vermin are unwelcome and can be unpleasant for residents, as well as posing a risk to the health and wellbeing of residents and members of their household when present in the home.  

We will treat reports of pest and vermin infestations as repair requests and apply the same principles used for other repairs when assessing the severity of the issue. This includes taking account of resident characteristics and ensuring that our response and treatment of infestations are delivered within the same timescales as other repair services.  

The risk of pest and vermin infestations can often be reduced through simple preventive measures taken by residents within their homes. We will support residents by providing information and advice on how to minimise these risks and will make clear where the effectiveness of any action we take depends on the cooperation or actions taken by the resident.
