Prize draws, competitions and incentives - Terms and conditions 

Please note the following terms and conditions apply to all prize draws, competitions and incentives, unless otherwise specified in the individual promotion. 

Competitions & fair play: 

  1. As a thank you to residents for offering their time and views, we may run prize draws, competitions and/or individual incentives. 

  1. To ensure they are straightforward and fair, we run them according to SettleParadigm's rules, as specified on individual activities and promotions. 

  1. Prize draw winners will be selected at random using an online result generator. The process for competitions will be fair and transparent. 

  1. For incentives offered as a gratuity, the value and eligibility requirements will be clearly communicated for each activity. 

  1. For prize draws, the number and value of prizes will be clearly stated on the individual promotion. 

  1. Result records are kept for up to one year. 

Eligibility: 

  1. You must be a resident of SettleParadigm. 

  1. You must be aged 18 or over. 

  1. Employees of SettleParadigm or their immediate family members are not eligible to enter. 

How to enter 

  1. Residents must register for the relevant event and participate fully to qualify for entry into the prize draw. 

Entry period: 

  1. The entry period for each prize draw or competition will be clearly stated. 

  1. Entries submitted after the specified closing time will not be eligible. 

Prize/incentive: 

  1. The prize(s) or incentive(s will be clearly specified for each prize draw, competition or activity. 

  1. Prizes and incentives are non-transferable and no cash alternatives are available. 

  1. Incentives provided as high street shopping or gift vouchers are available as evouchers, or can be emailed or posted to residents, depending on their preference. 

  1. Where a resident has an outstanding balance with SettleParadigm, the value of the incentive may be offset directly against this balance instead of being issued as a voucher. Where this is the case, residents will be informed of this, and the relevant SettleParadigm colleagues (such as Rent or Income Officers) will be notified as appropriate, in line with our data protection policies. 

Winner selection: 

  1. The winner(s) for prize draws will be selected at random from all eligible entries within 14 days after the event, using an online random result generator. 

  1. For competitions, the winner(s) will be determined through a fair and transparent process appropriate to the activity. 

  1. The winner(s) will be notified within 14 days of selection. We aim to provide the incentive within 14 working days of notification. 

Information for benefit recipients: 

  1. High street or gift vouchers may be considered as earnings by benefits authorities. Residents receiving benefits are responsible for checking how this may affect their entitlement and declaring it where required. 

Promotion: 

  1. The winner(s) consent to SettleParadigm publishing the results, which may be shared on the website or through SettleParadigms’s own social channels. This will be done in accordance with our privacy policies.  

Data protection: 

22. Personal information supplied during the course of this process will only be used in accordance to Settle’s and Paradigm’s privacy policy.  

Amendments or cancellation: 

SettleParadigm reserves the right to amend or cancel an incentive, prize draw, competition or these terms at any time without notice. Where an incentive has been agreed and participation in an activity has taken place, the incentive will be honoured.
