My main passion is around social impact and inclusivity which aligns with Settle's mission, and I'm committed to amplifying resident voices while supporting Settle's vision 2030. I look forward to working with you all!" - Chris Grimes

The opportunity for residents to join the Operations Committee fulfils a key target in our 2030 plan. With support from Tpas, we advertised the role to all Settle residents earlier this year. We received an extremely strong range of applications and were so impressed during the interview process that we were able to agree with our Board to appoint two residents to the Committee.

A message from Dean Anderson, Executive Director of Customer Services

"Central to our 2030 plan is our commitment to remain relentlessly resident focused throughout all we do. The Operations Committee has a vital role in this, supporting our Board to ensure residents are influencing how we make decisions, and that we are delivering the best possible services and outcomes for them. I am really pleased to see Alex, Chris and Vicki join the Operations Committee and have no doubt that they will all bring valuable perspectives as we continue putting residents at the heart of everything we do." - Dean Anderson

Update: 8th August

Following interest and engagement in the Operations Committee recruitment and with over 70 residents applying for the role, we are pleased to share with you an update on progress.

Due to the number and calibre of applicants we took the decision to recruit through a two stage interview process. In July, we successfully completed the first stage of interviews where we held online virtual interviews. We were impressed by the quality and enthusiasm of all the applicants and their passion for influencing change across the communities we work with.

As we move into August, we will be conducting the second stage of the recruitment with the shortlisted residents which will be a face to face interviews.

We expect to share with all residents in September the successful candidate who will be joining our Operations Committee. This new member will play a crucial role in ensuring that the resident voice is represented and heard in our decision-making processes.

Stay tuned for further updates and thank you for your continued interest and support.
