The Neighbourhood Management Policy is a crucial document that impacts all our residents.
Update: Final review published - 10th October
Your feedback was key in this policy review, helping us ensure that it reflects what's important to you.
Our vision is to ensure a safe, comfortable, and affordable home for every household. This policy outlines how we manage services in our neighbourhoods to keep them clean, safe, and well-maintained, ensuring that residents feel proud of their communities.
🔍 The common themes that emerged were:
The need for regular checks on communal cleaning and gardening services
A request for a visible presence from Settle colleagues and clarity on how to best contact them
The need to feel safe in their homes and neighbourhoods.
We also received comments from residents who said the document was easy to read, clear to understand, and had realistic satisfaction targets.
🎯 Here's what we're doing:
Targeting areas for improvement in cleaning, gardening services, bins, and recycling facilities based on residents' feedback
Updating signage in internal block areas to ensure residents are aware of our services and how to contact us
Increasing presence through quarterly Neighbourhood Action Weeks and Big Door Knocks
Tackling reports of anti-social behaviour swiftly and effectively, focusing on early intervention.
We'd love for you to see how residents' feedback shaped our revised objectives, actions, and outcomes - which we'll monitor with performance indicators. You can read more about the changes we've made in the updated policy here.
