Tree safety and management policy

Policy statement 

Trees and green spaces are important amenities for residents and the wider environment.  Access to well maintained green spaces promotes wellbeing and contributes locally to mitigating the effects of extreme heat.  We are committed to looking after the trees in communal areas and areas accessible to the public and regularly checking their condition.

We manage the condition of trees in communal spaces or spaces that are accessible to the public so that they are safe.

Residents are responsible for trees in the gardens of the properties that they live in and must keep them in a safe condition as a requirement of their tenancy or shared ownership lease.
