The organisation is committed to delivering a fair, transparent and compliant approach to Shared Ownership sales, resales and staircasing activities. Shared Ownership homes will be allocated and managed in line with applicable Homes England requirements, funding obligations, nomination agreements and affordability principles, whilst ensuring Shared Owners receive clear information and support throughout their home ownership journey.

The intended outcomes of this policy are to:

  • support fair and transparent access to Shared Ownership opportunities;
  • ensure affordability and sustainability principles are applied consistently;
  • provide customers with clear information and support throughout the transaction process;
  • support compliance with Homes England Capital Funding requirements, nomination agreements and lease obligations; and
  • ensure appropriate oversight, controls and audit trails are maintained for key decisions and transactions.
