At Settle, we're committed to ensuring that every resident has a meaningful voice in shaping the future of their homes, communities and services.
We believe everyone should have the chance to get involved in improving the services we provide and the communities we serve. We’re committed to making sure all residents, no matter their background, needs, or situation, can take part in ways that work best for them.

A message from Annette, Chair of the Voice of the Resident Panel 🐣
"I'd encourage all residents to take a look at the Engagement Framework - it's easy to read and clearly shows how residents can have a voice. I want to express on behalf of the panel, that we expect Settle to provide assurance that they are truly listening to residents and valuing their voices. The Engagement Framework represents this commitment, ensuring that you always know how your input and feedback are making a difference and driving real change for all residents."
If you need this in a different format or need additional support, please let us know by emailing engagement@settlegroup.org.uk or call us on 0330 343 0016.
You Said...
Thank you for all the feedback on our Engagement Framework! We can now share we received a total of 62 insightful comments from 26 residents and colleagues. Your input is invaluable, and we're excited to dive into your suggestions.
📢 Here's what we heard:
- 68% of respondents thought the framework was clear
- 69% of respondents thought the framework was easy to understand.
There were three key themes that stood out:
- Respondents said they like having different ways of getting involved, both online and through local in-person events
- Respondents value a well-structured framework, which makes it easier to read and understand
- Respondents recognise Settle's "You Said, We Did" approach as an effective way to show real progress
A second round of scrutiny was also carried out, including an Equality Impact Assessment (EQIA), helping us identify any areas where the framework might unintentionally disadvantage certain groups.
🔎 This highlighted:
- Accessible engagement opportunities
- Translation services
- Inclusive language
- Non-binary options.
We're now reviewing all your feedback, and will update our Engagement Framework based on what you said.
It's important this framework truly reflects residents' priorities.
We know that building a strong, thriving community requires more than just providing good housing - it means giving residents a voice and creating opportunities for them to get involved. By listening and acting on resident feedback we can work together to create a place everyone can be proud to call home.
What is an Engagement Framework?
An Engagement Framework is a plan that helps Settle be relentlessly resident focused with residents being involved in decision making across the organisation and the communities we serve. It explains how we can get involved and reach common goals together.
