We recognise the necessity of CCTV systems to help prevent crime and anti-social behaviour, as well as the increasing demand for domestic CCTV solutions like doorbell cameras to enhance residents' home security.

It's important to balance these benefits with the potential for privacy complaints arising from actual or perceived intrusions caused by CCTV use.

This policy sets out a clear and consistent approach to managing CCTV and installation requests by defining expected standards for those installing CCTV, specifying when installations are permitted, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
