Safeguarding means protecting a person's right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect (including self-neglect).

  • The objectives, desired outcomes and strategic alignment section was easy to understand, but could be set out more clearly.

๐ŸŽฏ We did...

  • We improved the layout of this section to make it clearer and easier to follow.

Update: Under review - 8 April

Thank you for the feedback we received on our safeguarding policy. We received 2 insightful comments from 2 survey responses, and the feedback was really positive.

๐Ÿ“ข Here's what we heard

  • 100% of residents thought the language in the policy was clear
  • 100% of residents thought the policy was easy to understand.

One core theme was raised by residents around our safeguarding policy:

  1. Residents would like the 'Objectives, desired outcomes, and strategic alignment' section to be clearer and easier to follow.

We're now reviewing all feedback and revising the policy based on your input. We will publish the updated version reflecting your thoughts soon.

Housing associations are required to have clear safeguarding policies and procedures in place. Colleagues must also be trained to recognise the signs of abuse or neglect. If we do not meet our safeguarding responsibilities, there is a risk to the health, safety and wellbeing of our residents.

This policy outlines our approach to safeguarding adults and children. It sets out our responsibilities and helps make sure colleagues and residents understand our legal and moral obligations. It also explains how to raise a concern and the support available.

To make sure the policy promotes safety, empathy, transparency, and consistency, we'd love to hear from you.

Your views will help shape how we continue to support residents and should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.
