LGBTQ+ History through the lens of Stonewall Housing

Join us on the 27th February at 2pm, for an LGBTQ+ History talk with Stonewall Housing. Dean Anderson, Settle's Managing Director, will be co-hosting this event alongside Alex Duffy, Training Lead at Stonewall Housing.

Through real recordings from service users and former colleagues, Stonewall Housing provides an authentic glimpse into LGBTQ+ life over the decades. The session highlights key milestones in LGBTQ+ history, including; 

  • Homelessness in the 1980's
  • LGBTQ+ life in the 1980's
  • The impact of Section 28
  • The fight to lower the age of consent
  • The HIV/AIDS crisis
  • LGBTQ+ people's experiences of social housing

Please note: apart from the hosts Dean and Alex, and the organisers from Settle - all cameras and microphones will be turned off during the webinar and no names will be shared on screen to protect anonymity. We will record the webinar and share this afterwards with all those who register to attend, as well as sharing a link to it on our website and through Settle Connect. The organisers at Settle will see the first and last name and email addresses for all participants, but these will not be shared outside of Settle and all details will be deleted within 8 weeks of the webinar recording being shared.
