Development and Regeneration Strategy

We will deliver new homes and invest in our neighbourhoods to provide a safe, comfortable and affordable home for every household.

Thank you for the feedback we received on our Development and Regeneration Strategy! We received a total of 7 comments from 3 survey responses. Your contributions are essential to improving this strategy, and we're currently reviewing your suggestions.

📢 Here's what we heard:

  • 92% of residents thought the language in the strategy was clear
  • 88% of residents thought the strategy was easy to understand.

There were three core themes raised by residents around our Development and Regeneration Strategy:

  1. Residents would like clearer definitions with simpler explanations of technical terms
  2. Residents value investment in existing homes as well as new builds
  3. Residents would like to see more transparency and accountability, making sure progress is clearly monitored and shared.

We're now reviewing all feedback and revising the strategy based on your input. We will publish the updated version reflecting your thoughts soon.

We want to make sure this strategy truly reflects residents' priorities.

Our Development and Regeneration Strategy sets out a clear and consistent approach to how we deliver new homes and regenerate our neighbourhoods. It includes;

We're committed to delivering new affordable homes and have set a target in the long-term plan of an average of 200 a year by 2030.

We're also committed to regenerating our neighbourhoods, and progressing the existing regeneration schemes through planning to deliver new homes.
